The Arch

Before our trip to the Bahamas we checked out the St. Louis arch. It's really a beautiful park and amazing how big the arch is! There also is a neat museum in underneath it which pleased the history lover in me. Gabe loved running around in the grass!

Bahamas

We had a great time in the Bahamas..it was so fun to see old friends and see Patti & Brendan tie the knot! Aside from it being ridiculously overpriced and super hot..the trip went really well. Gabe enjoyed the beach and swimming in the ocean for the first time! The Atlantis was pretty cool too. Here are a few pics from the trip. I think i figured out how to make them big...so enjoy!

Gabe sat on Ahn's lap the entire ceremony. He whined whenever Michael tried to move him!

Likes/Dislikes

Things I miss about Texas:
-Living in 1500 sq feet
-3 bedrooms
-the fabulous fenced in yard/ covered patio
-my best buddy living around the corner
-Target was 5 mins away
-olive garden was 5 mins away....
-hobby lobby was 2 mins away..(you get the idea)
-coffee group/ girlfriends with babies
-patton pool
-2 bathrooms
-pretty wildflowers
- my neighborhood loop
-bordering NM

Things I don't miss:
-the traffic
-going to sleep to the sound of sirens
-the heat
-cockroaches (although those only appeared at the end)
-michael's commute to work (it was like 20-30 mins depending on the gate..now it's maybe 30 seconds)
-the brown everywhere
-no good hiking trails for the dogs
-the heat that never ends!
-the distance to get anywhere. Texas was stinking big...anything "close" was a good 4 hr round trip drive.
-house repairs/costs
-air conditioning bill
-the water pressure

Well that's all i can come up with for now. All in all were pretty happy to be here in MO. Despite it being so isolated..we find the post refreshingly green and quiet and calm. We've moved up from the ghetto despite losing sq footage!

Best Men

Hruska's Wedding!

We had an AWESOME time at the Hruska- Tillberg wedding. I could say a lot, but I'll let you enjoy all the pictures. Below is a pic of all the men at the wedding who either were currently serving or had served in the military at one time. It was like half the wedding!

Yes i did indeed wear the same color as the bridesmaids. Again. I guess I just really want to be a bridesmaid or something. Good thing i am next wedding...in the Bahamas!!

Mr. & Mrs. Hruska! About time!!!

Party Bus!!!

Gabers was enthralled with the bubbles. I have to get some...we're all about cheap entertainment!

Kansas: Part I

We traveled to KS this past weekend for Mike Hruska's Wedding extravaganza! We had an awesome time! It was so much fun seeing him again...it had been since November of 2008! He got to meet Gabe and we had a little mini-reunion with my parents who also attended the wedding. Turns out Wichita is a pretty neat city. The zoo is fantastic. I'll post wedding pics later..but here's a few of our leisure time activities!

As best man, it was Michael's self-imposed duty to give Hruska a good time Thursday night. Apparently it was such a good time that poor Hruska couldn't get out of bed till 3pm the next day! The other guy in the pics is Dave Kennedy..he actually is deployed to Iraq and used his R & R to attend the wedding. Pretty awesome the dates lined up!

Yes, i do indeed have the same wingspan as my Dad.

Since it was like 100 degrees outside, the random misters were the BEST. We all went through every one. Did you know that Hippos are the most dangerous animal in Africa? Apparently they kill more ppl a year than any other animal.

Gabe got to help daddy feed the giraffes. He's growling like a tiger at the tiger exhibit. What a genius!
