Camping at Johnson's Shut-Ins

Setting up our campsite...gabe was "helping" daddy..
Doesn't this look like a ford truck commercial? I think Michael was in heaven! This campsite was brand new--one of the nicest I've ever been too. And a really nice bathroom which means a lot to a pregnant woman (me) with a potty-training toddler. Amazingly enough Gabe had no accidents the whole trip.
Gabe took a nice afternoon nap in the tent.
Daddy & Gabe in front of the shut-ins.
We couldn't have asked for better weather. Beautiful! Only bummer was the hike to the shut-ins doesn't allow dogs. We had to leave Winsty & Bella in the truck.

 Gabe loved seeing the caterpillars.

Starting to look like a preggers beast! And I still have the whole summer to get through..ah!
Can you find the salamander? We think this is a 4-toed salamander that is native to this area....not sure though.

Preparing the boy-scout famous foil dinners. They were pretty good.
Nulkie making us breakfast. Unfortunately the dogs had to be leashed most of the time. But on Friday afternoon they had their run of the place...no one was their but us so we let them burn off some steam.

Doesn't he look 5 yrs old? Slow down gabers!
On Saturday morning after we broke camp we did a 2- mile dog friendly loop. Pretty view of the wash out area. Doggies had a great time wading and running around. We let Gabe do about 1/2 mile of the hike by himself :)

That looks like SO much fun! And you look so great--not in the least like a preggers beast, don't be ridiculous. :P Gabe definitely looks way more grown up than 2, what a big boy!
